Jalgrattateema kirjeldus

Cycling Holidays in Estonia
Estonia is fantastic for cyclists – its small enough, flat in west and north, gentle hills in South, plenty of forests and national parks and not much cars to pass you on your ride.
Estonia’s national parks, coastal areas with islands and hilly southern areas are perfect for country biking. Discover Estonian cultural differences by biking through small countryside roads meeting local people, passing villages, manor houses...

Why to choose Estonia for your cycling holiday:
  • short distances - you could get from one side of the country to another just within few days. Everything is close by
  • diversity - you will experience different types of landscapes: forests, open fields, bogs, sandy beaches - all can be experienced during one day riding
  • nature, culture and local people -countryside is worth experiencing, not crowded, preserved cultural traditions and unspoilt nature with wildlife.

Estonia is part of cycling paths Eurovelo and local Estovelo network:
  • Eurovelo 10 (Route marked as no. 1. part of route running along the Baltic Sea): From Latvian side, through islands to the Capital Tallinn and along North coast to St.Petersburg, signed route of 980 km.
  • Local Estovelo network, covering every county in Estonia, making it easy to discover the hidden sights of Estonia.
Other smaller cities have developing bicycle lanes network fast, more and more people get on bikes, as commuters or recreational purposes.
Bicycle rental is getting popularity. Bike rentals can be found in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Haapsalu, Kuressaare, Otepää... Ask more information from local Tourist Information Centres.

In Tallinn and Tartu regular City Tours are organised, best way to get to know local sights and off the beaten track roads.

  3. Tänud Reinule
    Eurovelo paneme juurde.
    Tallinna osas on arengud positiivsed.
Turistid on siiani rahul ja peamine faktor on hõre liiklustihedus, võrreldes nende koduriigiga.
